Âgée de huit ans, Léa grandit avec sa demi-soeur Julie sous la coupe d’Éden, une mère intransigeante et exclusive. Un jour, la fillette aperçoit un cadavre flottant à la surface d’une rivière. Persuadée que c’est le père qu’elle n’a jamais connu, elle se met à questionner Éden à son sujet. Devant le silence maternel, les deux sœurs décident de mener leur propre enquête. C’est alors que Léa rencontre Simon, un ancien légionnaire qui vit dans une roulottent non loin du lac et fabrique des marionnettes à partir de matériaux recyclés. Léa s’attache à lui dans l'espoir de retrouver son père.
At the age of eight, Léa grows up with her half-sister Julie under the guidance of Eden, an uncompromising and exclusive mother. One day, the little girl sees a corpse floating on the surface of a river. Convinced that it is the father she has never known, she begins to question Eden about him. Faced with maternal silence, the two sisters decide to conduct their own investigation. That’s when Léa meets Simon, a former legionnaire who lives in a trailer not far from the lake and makes puppets from recycled materials. Léa becomes attached to him in the hope of finding her father.
